A quick post in case your Friday night plans are sparse.

You may enjoy watching a concert featuring New York University (NYU) student orchestras. My niece Ann studies violin performance at NYU and will be performing in this pre-recorded concert.
Here are the details from the school. My sister made notations marking where Ann would perform. I have placed these notations in RED.
The concert will not be available for playback so, if you want to watch, you have to watch it live stream.
We are thrilled that we are finally able to premiere two of our NYU Orchestras concerts from this semester!
Please join us this Friday, December 18 at 8:00 PM EST at this link to hear:
– Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges: Violin Concerto in A major, Op. 5, No. 2 with Prof. Cyrus Beroukhim, violin soloist
THIS IS ANNIE’S PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR AND THE PRINICIPAL OF THE NEW YORK BALLET. IT SHOULD BE A INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE.
– Antonín Dvořák (arr. Iain Farrington): Symphony No. 9 in E minor, “From the New World,” IV. Allegro con fuoco
– Jeffrey Mumford: becoming…
THIS IS THE OTHER ½ OF THE ORCHESTRA (NOT ANN’S ½)
– Gustav Mahler (arr. Iain Farrington): Symphony No. 1, II. Kräftig bewegt, doch nicht zu schnell – Recht gemächlich
THIS IS THE PIECE THAT ANNIE WILL BE PLAYING IN.
Please feel free to share this email with family and friends. These concerts will not remain available following this stream, so please do mark your calendars!
Enjoy!
The Mahler and the Dvorak pieces were the best – IMHO. Congratulations, Ann, on your part in the Mahler, which was a new symphony to me – and enchanting!

Beautiful! Dad and I both watched and listened and hopefully even picked out Ann. What a great, ingenious way not to be defeated by COVID! We especially enjoyed the Dvorak and Mahler pieces. Prayers for a live concert in the Spring! 🙏🙏🙏
