I’m finally feeling well enough to restart my popular series.

Yesterday, I was hanging out with my pacifier when a nurse walked into my room. She handed my mom a small package.
Charlotte lives in the room next to mine in the PCICU. She was born back in November and has been in the PCICU since then. We have never met but our parents see each other at the Ronald McDonald House. Anyways, Charlotte’s mom passed my mom a note. Via the nurse. Because they can’t go into each other’s rooms.
Mom found two fabulous headbands tucked inside the note. In two colorways: bubble gum pink and candy apple red.

You might think these are for Valentine’s Day but you would be wrong. They are to show the world that Charlotte and I are warriors. Heart warriors. Just like her Mom said:

Our hearts may be weak. But our spirits are strong and those spirits need decoration. And if you’re going decorate, you may as well go big.

Mom has told me that I have a lot of fans. But now I have a little friend. And we have matching bows that we’re going to wear the first time we meet.
I’m going to wear the red one.
How sweet. She looks adorable!

“Baby, baby, can’t you hear my heartbeat?” I guess I am showing my age with this Herman and the Hermits song. Kathleen, you can sing that to Becky and Charlotte.
