Michael continues his boxing training with the Notre Dame Bengal Bouts. Last year, he had a good showing but lost his preliminary fight.

He hopes to improve upon that effort and has been training hard. In addition to the boxing workouts and lifting, he’s incorporated swimming into his routine to build muscular endurance. I trust that he continues to attend classes.
Boxing is the secondary mission of the Bengal Bouts. Participating students fight to raise funds for the Holy Cross Missions. 100% of the proceeds are used to operate orphanages and vocational schools in Bangladesh. Children are given basic necessities like food, shelter, and clean water. They also receive an education or training in various trades. Currently, the mission is educating over 130,000 kids. The Holy Cross Missions can educate, house, and feed a single child for a year with a donation of $250. If you are inclined to donate, please follow this link.

The club recently held their 1000 push-up practice and posted a short video of the grueling endeavor.
We’ve submitted our ticket requests and plan to be ringside along with family and friends. Michael fights in the Prelims on Thursday, February 16.

Next week, I will post a link to the livestream in case anyone needs some entertainment.
