Cops and Bobbers

Summer has officially arrived. Mary Frances graduated from 8th grade and immediately flew out-of-town for adventures. Two weeks ago, I dropped her at the airport alongside Michael. He left for a 2 month stint to the Holy Cross missions in Bangladesh. More on that later. She’s been having the time of her life with extended family and cousins. I’m unsure if she will ever return.

Angela graduated college and moved home for a couple of months. We have enjoyed epic water runs at the Y and hilarious yoga sessions on the back porch. Just today, I went into a fit of giggles during lizard pose. We’ve been shopping for her apartment and curating her work wardrobe, Thankfully, we still found time for an unforgettable 14-hour road trip to rural Missouri. We touched a bit of the divine and discovered a delightful hometown deli with a scrumptious stacked club sandwich.

John finished school this week. He announced that summer would last for 77 days. I asked about the origin of that number. He admitted that he hadn’t actually counted the days. But he felt certain that it was 77. Today was day #1 and it started with a fishing extravaganza at a local forest preserve.

The Waiting Room

It’s been quiet around the blog recently. Nevertheless I was surprised to find that I hadn’t put up a post in almost two weeks. Time can be funny at times. Days can crawl by at a snail’s pace and yet somehow the weekend comes to an end in a flash.
