I’ve been slowly healing and recovering from my surgery. Mom spends lots of time holding me and singing.

I love Frank Sinatra’s High Hopes. I also like Swinging on a Star, even if Mom doesn’t quite sound like Bing Crosby.
Today I made a couple positive steps forward.
The fluid from my stomach has finally cleared up. The OG tube has been removed from my mouth and the suction has stopped. Hopefully, I will be able to start feeding again tomorrow.

I still receive a dose of Lasix every day to help my lungs. My kidneys were having some problems with the two doses, so we have cut back to one dose/day. The goal is to help diurese some of the excess fluid surrounding my lungs. My breathing is improving even though my lung x-ray looks the same.
My cardiologist mentioned that the heavy fluid received during surgery last week may be contributing to my rapid breathing. This may cause me to burn too many calories and fail to thrive once I begin eating again.
My biggest goal in life is to put on weight. And to entertain my older siblings who should be paying attention in their classes.
Sometimes I get the hiccups because I am just so excited to start eating again. Sorry you can’t hear these on the video. Mom struggles with technology at times. Speaking of hearing things, I can’t wait to hear the dinner bell sometime tomorrow.
Becky this is so cute. We all know technology isn’t mom’s strength but I think she can hold a phone so we can see your adorable face. I can’t believe you have time to write blog posts with all doctors swarming around you. I love and miss you so much. #beckystrong

Dear Becky, I am just a little suspicious that Mommo is spiking your Mom’s ice crean (to help her get sleep, of course-wink wink-oh say it isn’t so, Jeannette). & you get hic ups!! So blessed at what a little fighter you are. Bon appetite tomorrow😀. love Aunt Cynthia
