Becky and I arrived at the hospital a couple hours ago.

We made our way to the surgical area, passing by the hallway to the PCICU. It seems like an age has passed since those long weeks in the unit.

We settled into our room and I started signing forms and answering questions. We are pre-gaming in the same room where we waited for Becky’s first open heart surgery.

Becky is sporting the same peach gown.

She’s enjoying her crinkly book, blissfully unaware of her pending surgery.

Now we wait.
